Face, neck, scalp and scars.
PRP has been used for over 30 years in medical fields such as dentistry, oral surgery and orthopaedics. It is recommended to patients who prefer a more natural approach to anti-ageing treatments, as it uses the body’s own cells (blood plasma) rather than a synthetic substance such as dermal fillers.
It is a 100% natural procedure, and it is highly effective not only in the removal of fine lines and wrinkles, but will also stimulate hair growth when injected into the scalp.
There are very few risks associated with PRP when administered by a fully trained practitioner.
How does the treatment work?
PRP involves taking a small sample of blood from the arm as if you were having a blood test, spinning it in a centrifuge to separate the red blood cells from the plasma, and injecting the gel-like plasma back into the skin to stimulate collagen production. This platelet rich plasma contains natural growth factors which stimulate cells to promote collagen and tissue growth, refreshing the skin and giving it a firmer, more youthful appearance.
How long do the effects last?
Platelet Rich Plasma treatments can have a long lasting effect on the skin, and results usually last between 18-24 months. Most patients will have a course of a few sessions to achieve their desired results.
