Upper Eyelid Surgery (Blepharoplasty)
Upper eyelid surgery (an eyelid lift or upper blepharoplasty) is a surgical procedure that removes the excessive skin which develops over the upper eyelids.
The loss of elasticity in the skin means the skin and muscles around the eye weaken and stretch. Protrusion of the fat pad can give the upper eyelid a hooded appearance. Genetic predisposition, ageing and smoking are all causes of blepharochalasis.
Upper eyelid surgery is a skilled surgical procedure carried out under local anaesthetic in our dedicated minor operations suite.
We would recommend you choose a surgeon who has undergone specialist training for cosmetic surgery. Mr Jong Kim is featured on the specialist register of plastic surgery and has a wealth of knowledge and experience in plastic surgical procedures.
